I find it hard to comprehend that I am actually 51! When we were in our 20s, people in their 50s seem so old... Now I look in the mirror and I still see the same person, amen! Are my eyes deceiving me? My heart? I don't look or feel old at all!
I give thanks to the Lord for all the wonderful life experiences He has put me through. Indeed the highlight must have been on 17 May 2003 when a packed Sydney Entertainment Centre - 6,000 or more? - sang Happy Birthday to me and this HUGE birthday cake was wheeled out onto stage! Unbelievable!
I also thank the Lord for my wonderful husband Patrick - he's really so good to me and we are truly soul mates in the major things in our lives. Of course we also disagree on minor things, but those are not important at all. I truly thank the Lord for that - He alone have cemented the love and respect we have for each other and for Him. Thank you, Lord!
I also thank the good Lord for my family, for Patrick's family and for all the friends I have made these 50 years! And thank God for Facebook for helping me find many of those friends!
Special gratitude also goes out to my mom - without which I won't be here and won't be what I am today. My love goes out to her, and my deepest desire is that she will know and love my Lord too, amen!
So, what's next? Right now, I'm listening to an audio recorded in 2003 where Patrick and I shared our story to a huge audience in Sydney... it's a great reminder to myself how inspiring we can be, and how we can impact others, simply by dreaming BIG, putting action into achieving those dreams, walking our talk and doing what we have to do, despite the potholes and roadblocks we may face along our journey in life.
Well, watch out, world! Patrick and Jessica are not ready to "retire" yet - we want to continue to inspire and impact million of lives. Amen.
